sometimes just saying simple words, with the appropriate melody, can resonate with the spirit of the listener.
There are times i have been, simply put, on my knees or on my face. Burying my face in the carpet of my apartment, overcome by the weight of responsibilities and confusion, or face in my hands, shamed by regret or remorse from foolish decisions . The one thing i desperately want to hear at those times... that it's ok... is readily spoken to my spirit by God through the Holy Spirit. i sometimes forget to listen for the quiet stillness.
i want to be able to write songs that speak to people in the same ways that i've been touched through music from bands like MuteMath, or Justin McRoberts, or coolhandluke.
