in defense of... pt. 3

this one is going to be a tough one... because it demands, in its own way, the complementary defense as well...

in defense of... CU Divinity School.

the complementary defense would be, in defense of... being an Evangelical.

that's right... i've had enough conversations with 'conservative' and Evangelical friends that i feel like i can/need to summarize the things that i've had to repeat... and, i have enough friends who are moderate/liberal that i've had to implicitly defend my decision to align with Evangelicalism, and i'd like to summarize my statements to them also...

maybe, this post should instead be, in defense of... a third way.

any thoughts on which way i should take this?

I'd have to say that any of the options you have put forth would be fascinating, but I'd probably be most interested to read the 2 defenses separately.

i dunno... the thought of that gives me "paper anxiety" because of the amount of thought and potential research i'd have to do to be fair to each defense :-)

Okay, so whatever you decide about the defense, I'm sure you'll go with what is do-able and hopefully edifying. However, any chance you would offer your definition of "Evangelical" in the meantime?
